The Livery

The Gulf livery is the exterior paint color scheme of often famous race cars, including the GT40s.

"From the beginning of organized motor sport events during the early 1900s until the late 1960s, vehicles competing in international auto racing competitions customarily painted their cars in standardized racing colours that indicated the nation of origin of the car or driver."

The famous GT40 Gulf Livery consists of the following colors: Gulf Powder Blue (code #P030-8013d, which was accented with Marigold (code #P030-3393) orange trim.

The GT40 p2285 has a unique custom Gulf Livery: the Gulf Marigold orange was dusted with gold pearl before the top clear coat was applied.
